Once successfully completed, a telehandler course results in a CPCS Trained Operator card for the category of machine covered by the course. Trained Operator cards are issued for two years and serve as a step towards more advanced accreditation.

To qualify for the CPCS Trained Operator card, candidates must pass a theory test and take part in practical training. A successful completion of the CPCS test will grant you the CPCS red Trained Operator card for the categories that were covered by your telehandler training course. If you want to achieve more advanced accreditation, you can complete an NVQ Plant Operative (Telehandler) qualification, which will allow you to apply for the CPCS blue competent operator card.
